The iconic floodlights of the Stade Bauer, in the northern suburb of Saint-Ouen, home to the fourth-oldest football club in France, Red Star FC.

A club of long-established leftist origins, Red Star’s meeting with Paris FC, a club with notorious right-leaning factions in its fanbase, was more than just a football match.

Despite a strong showing from the home side, they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat, as Paris FC moved to the top of Ligue 2.
